Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least three (3) years of professional software development experience
- Experience with back-end technologies such as Ruby on Rails
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React/Redux and Angular
- Proficiency in databases including SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
- Capability in writing unit tests, integration tests, and utilizing automated testing frameworks
- Knowledge of SOLID principles and best practices like test-driven development and microservice architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and frameworks such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins
- Ability to create APIs and services separated by SPA frontends (RESTful or GraphQL)
- Comfortable with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git
- Preferred: five (5) or more years of professional software development experience, exposure to microservices, knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and experience in mentoring junior developers or leading small projects
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, and test software systems as required
- Engage in product planning meetings, retrospectives, daily standups, and other agile practices
- Collaborate with product management to understand business requirements and user needs
- Monitor software functionality, document anomalies, troubleshoot issues, and work to enhance application performance
- Mentor team members in necessary skills and technologies
- Contribute to and enhance overall design architecture and CI/CD pipeline
- Research new technical products and evaluate their fit for our needs
- Automate and execute all levels of testing (unit, integration, and regression) to achieve sprint objectives as a team
- Collaborate on architectural decisions and ensure adherence to best practices
