Requirements
Must:
- 6-8 years of overall infrastructure experience
- 4+ years of direct cloud (Microsoft Azure) experience in production settings
- Proven track record of operating and enhancing an existing Azure landing zone
- In-depth knowledge of Azure networking (VNet peering, VPN, Private Endpoints, NSGs)
- Familiarity with Azure Policy, RBAC, and governance frameworks
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform
- Proficient in automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Experience in managing hybrid cloud environments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities
- Ability to monitor server metrics, conduct diagnostic tests, and manage failover processes
- Collaborative skills for troubleshooting applications with various teams
- Participation in disaster recovery planning and exercises
- Administration of hybrid identity solutions (Entra ID / Azure AD Connect) as well as cloud-only identity setups
- Management and policy oversight for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune
- Experience in device and policy management within Intune
- Leadership in Office 365 projects as the primary technical support contact
Responsibilities
- Manage and uphold the existing Azure landing zone and subscription framework
- Guarantee high availability, performance, and dependability of Azure workloads
- Oversee essential services such as networking, compute, storage, identity, and monitoring
- Act as the main Azure subject matter expert
- Architect and implement new Azure infrastructure according to business requirements
- Advance the existing landing zone architecture
- Spearhead infrastructure components for application deployments
- Assess new Azure services and advocate for their adoption where suitable
- Make architectural choices that align with best practices and scalability goals
- Collaborate with security teams on initiatives for system hardening
- Supervise Azure networking elements like VNet peering, private endpoints, and NSGs
- Automate operational processes using PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Standardize deployment practices and documentation
- Manage Azure Monitor and Log Analytics tools
- Establish proactive alerting and health monitoring protocols
- Oversee budgets, reservations, and financial reporting related to Azure resources
