Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant experience
- Over 5 years of engineering experience
- Proficiency in computer architecture or embedded systems hardware design
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and software architecture
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows and Linux
- Familiarity with MRP, CRM, or comparable systems
- Experience in project management
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and related operations
- Review and update customer requirements
- Formulate and maintain system requirements
- Manage the change approval process
- Ensure comprehensive traceability of requirements to subsystems and functional teams
- Assess new and existing architectures against requirements to identify gaps
- Manage and reduce the variety of system configurations
- Evaluate alternatives and support make-or-buy decisions
- Assist with system-level Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities and implement changes as needed
- Address compatibility and interoperability in relation to technology, industry, and regulatory standards
- Ensure alignment with verification and validation plans and reports
- Provide consultation, support, and assistance with tools and test plans as necessary
- Identify and mitigate risks in products and processes
- Collaborate with sales and FAEs to assess the initial feasibility of configurations
- Aid Program and Engineering Managers with clarifications of requirements, scope management, and contingency plan development
- Support the manufacturing facility with post-launch issues
