Requirements
Must:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- Local to NYC or within commuting distance
- Proficiency in managing and administering RedHat OpenShift Container Platform services
- Experience in designing, deploying, and configuring OpenShift
- Hands-on expertise in application containerization and orchestration
- Familiarity with Jenkins job modifications and pipeline adjustments
- Proficient in coding with Python and Shell Scripting
- Knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Experience with container security assessments
- Familiarity with DataDog is a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer RedHat OpenShift Container Platform services
- Collaborate with the Development team to containerize applications and address identified vulnerabilities
- Set up authentication methods and manage user accounts with defined roles and permissions
- Explore efficiencies related to OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt)
- Handle modifications to Jenkins jobs and adjustments to pipelines
- Interact with developers to understand and migrate workflows
- Maintain multiple OpenShift clusters comprising approximately 400 to 500 machines
Description
We are looking for a Senior OpenShift Engineer for a long-term hybrid contract position based in our Manhattan offices serving a prominent hedge fund. This role requires frequent on-site presence, approximately three times a week. You will be part of a dynamic environment, focusing on hands-on engineering tasks, including the management of multiple OpenShift clusters. Our team values a collaborative spirit and innovative thinking, with an emphasis on practical experience in OpenShift and Jenkins.
