Machinist and QA technician

- Assist in training both new and current employees on the correct use of measuring instruments and ISO Quality Policies and Procedures - Inspect all machined and fabricated components to ensure alignment with drawings, processes, and customer specifications - Monitor ongoing jobs in the shop to avert non-conformance problems - Review items received from subcontracted processes prior to delivery to customers or subsequent processes for compliance with specifications - Prepare and manage quality documentation, including but not limited to certificates of compliance and dimensional reports per customer requirements - Oversee a calibration system for all company-owned and employee-owned measuring tools - Provide assistance and solutions to production staff regarding drawing interpretation and precise measurement techniques - Foster high expectations, efficiency, and safety within the work environment - Operate measuring equipment according to established protocols - Detect irregularities in parts and ensure quality standards are met - Prepare and manage non-conformance reports in accordance with established quality policies - Assist in investigating and resolving non-conformance issues - Help create, implement, and oversee ISO 9001 policies and procedures - Communicate with customers and vendors regarding quality-related matters - Be prepared to report to management at any time on the status of current projects and convey essential information to team members
