Requirements

Must:
- Graduate degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, computer science, engineering, operations research, or other highly quantitative fields; or a bachelors degree in a quantitative field with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience. Proven track record of academic success is required. - At least one (1) year of experience in client-facing roles coupled with at least one (1) year of professional analytic work experience, preferably within the Financial Services sector. - Demonstrated interest in industries served by TransUnion, such as financial services, insurance, fraud, and digital marketing, evidenced through relevant internships. - Strong analytical, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving abilities. - Proficient in programming and utilizing Spark within advanced technological environments like Google Cloud Platform or Databricks; high expertise in Microsoft Office tools is essential. - Comprehensive knowledge of Data Science and Predictive modeling techniques with extensive datasets, ideally familiar with AI or Deep Learning methods. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at various organizational levels; ability to collaborate in a fast-paced atmosphere; evidence of proactive approach. - Excellent project and time management skills; adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently. - Passion for linking Data Science to address business challenges related to fraud in client-oriented consulting roles. - Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with internal and external teams to spearhead new business initiatives and provide long-term value-added solutions to TransUnion customers. Responsibilities include developing predictive models and business intelligence solutions tailored for individual clients across various sectors. - Lead analytic client engagements that involve descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analyses primarily focused on fraud-related cases, employing multiple analytical techniques, especially predictive modeling and integration of various solutions. Assume ownership of the analytic components from project design to development and customer presentations. - Identify strategies and opportunities for clients and enhance subject matter expertise to implement customized analytic products aimed at optimizing anti-fraud strategies while detecting new fraud threats. Engage directly with TransUnion Sales and business unit partners, offering analytics insights as needed. - Develop, implement, and validate programs for data extraction, segmentation, statistical analysis, and additional data science functionalities involving large datasets using a contemporary technological infrastructure. - Seize opportunities to deliver analytical insights and recommendations that reinforce TransUnions reputation for exceptional technological expertise and domain knowledge, summarized through concise and compelling presentations for a diverse audience. - Nurture a high-performance workplace culture that promotes excellence and aligns with the TransUnion ethos.
