Requirements
Must:
- Masters or PhD degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative field with a strong academic record.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in analytic positions within Financial Services or similar industries.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in client-facing roles demonstrating success.
- Advanced programming capabilities; proficiency in a statistical language such as R or SAS, and experience with other programming/data manipulation languages (SQL, Hive, Pig, Python, C/C++, Java); familiarity with relational, MPP, or Hadoop data management frameworks; knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various levels internally and externally; adeptness in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.
- Excellent project management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel 10-20% as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to spearhead new business initiatives, delivering long-term value for B2B customers in the US financial services sector.
- Lead client analytic engagements through all stages of the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle, utilizing various analysis techniques such as segmentation and logistic regression.
- Design and code programs for data extraction, segmentation, and statistical analysis of large datasets using languages such as R, Python, SQL, Hive, and Pig on diverse computing platforms.
- Present analytic findings and recommendations succinctly to both internal and external stakeholders, including executive audiences.
- Create project proposals, sales presentations, and marketing materials to support the promotion of integrated customer solutions from TransUnion.
- Identify strategies and opportunities for customers to test and incorporate TransUnions analytic offerings.
- Mentor and train junior team members while ensuring progress on initiatives with limited supervision.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture that promotes excellence and aligns with the TransUnion brand.
