Requirements
Must:
- Masters or PhD in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or a similarly quantitative discipline with a strong academic record
- Minimum of 2 years of analytic experience in Financial Services or related fields
- Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving abilities
- Advanced programming expertise; proficiency with statistical languages such as R or Python; experience in other programming and data manipulation languages (SQL, Hive, C/C++, Java); adept in Microsoft Office tools
- Flexible communication style with the capacity to engage effectively at various levels both within and outside the organization; comfortable in a collaborative, fast-paced setting
- Solid project management capabilities with the skill to handle multiple assignments efficiently
- Knowledge of current industry challenges and trends necessary for identifying customer analytical needs and associated business opportunities
- Willingness to travel 10-20%
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally to propel new business initiatives and create long-term value-driven product offerings for clients in the US financial services sector
- Lead analytic client engagements encompassing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analyses throughout the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle, employing various techniques (e.g., segmentation, logistic regression, gradient boosted trees, survival analysis, principal component analysis, scenario and sensitivity analysis)
- Create and run programs for data extraction, segmentation, and statistical evaluations on extensive population datasets utilizing languages such as R, Python, and SQL
- Present analytic insights and recommendations clearly and compellingly to internal and external clients, including executive audiences
- Prepare project proposals, sales presentations, and marketing materials to support the uptake of comprehensive customer solutions backed by TransUnion
- Identify strategies and opportunities for clients to explore and adopt TransUnions analytic products and services
- Mentor and train junior team members while maintaining advancement on all initiatives with limited supervision
- Promote a high-performance work culture that fosters excellence and reflects the TransUnion brand
