Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technologies required
- Strong interest in HVAC applications and operational conditions for refrigeration equipment
- Passion for Manufacturing Plant Systems and Processes relating to Universal Testers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Test Systems and SCADA applications
- Proven ability to lead teams or collaborate effectively as a team member
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Must demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer service
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma certification is preferable but not mandatory
- Awareness of relevant safety and design standards including UL/CSA 1995, UL508, UL508A, National Electric Code, ANSI Z21.47, ASHRAE 90.1, etc.
- Basic experience with AutoCAD Electrical is beneficial but not essential
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for any issues related to Universal Testers in the Trane North America Plants
- Address and resolve issues involving current testers
- Escalate unresolved issues to Team Leadership and the Tester Engineering Team
- Identify plant-related issues and communicate them to System and Software Engineers, facilitating resolutions
- Recommend enhancements to Tester-related processes
- Assist Tester Engineers with product changes
- Train new Tester Engineers in established protocols
- Lead upgrades and enhancements of existing Universal Testers
- Collaborate with Tester Engineering on schematics, system diagrams, and test sequence modifications as needed
- Be prepared to work additional hours beyond 40 hours weekly, including outside regular working hours, in support of Plant and Tester Engineering Team schedules
