Requirements

Must:
- Degree in mechanical engineering technology, electrical engineering, or building environment, or equivalent experience in a related field. - 3 to 5 years of experience with building automation systems and HVAC controls, preferably in the IoT sector. - Experience in training, mentoring, or guiding junior members or peers. - Strong background with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Hands-on experience with building management software, programming, and hardware (Distech, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, etc.). - In-depth knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC/mechanical systems, electricity, refrigeration, and building operations. - Experience in the commissioning of HVAC automation controls and building management systems. - Proficient with BMS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, DIII net). - Solid experience with Unix/Linux systems, including scripting and command-line operations. - Strong IT and networking skills (configuration, troubleshooting, architecture). - Experience with electronics, testing equipment, circuits, and control panel wiring. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate across departments. - Familiarity with Python, MQTT, RESTful APIs, and NodeRED. - Tridium Niagara 4 certification is a plus. - Bilingual in French and English required, with full professional proficiency in both languages.

Responsibilities

- Lead technical operations, overseeing system architecture, configuration, and integration for Cloud BMS projects. - Direct remote troubleshooting, optimization, and commissioning processes for IoT devices, HVAC controls, lighting, and refrigeration systems. - Ensure platform reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and issue resolution. - Design, develop, and test control programs and sequences for IoT devices and building automation systems. - Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud-based building automation, control logic, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.). - Provide advanced technical support to sales, customer success, operations, and implementation teams. - Empower and mentor a team of controls specialists, promoting knowledge sharing, growth, and technical excellence. - Offer constructive feedback and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. - Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges and critical system incidents. - Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, define requirements, and deliver tailored solutions. - Communicate directly with clients to address issues, service requests, escalations, and system updates. - Proactively manage client expectations and ensure alignment with established SLAs and contractual commitments. - Contribute to drafting or revising SLAs to support quality control and algorithm development processes. - Analyze system performance data to identify optimization opportunities and implement innovative solutions. - Work with development, data science, and algorithm teams to enhance integrations and deployment workflows. - Lead the enhancement of documentation, including testing procedures, QA/QC results, step-by-step guides, and product reviews. - Support improvements to the Knowledge Base (KCS) and apply
