- Engage with finance and key business stakeholders to assess business needs and collect analytics requirements - Convert business needs into specific data requirements for engineers, ensuring precise and relevant data collection - Apply statistical methods to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, deriving significant insights - Interpret results using techniques ranging from simple data aggregation to advanced statistical analysis - Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing finance data analytics capabilities, contributing to data strategies and roadmaps for finance projects - Oversee data collection and cleaning processes from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity and quality - Develop and maintain state-of-the-art analytic dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate financial business insights - Update and troubleshoot existing analytic dashboards and reports, monitoring data quality to identify issues and propose solutions - Advocate for analytics adoption within the finance team, educating stakeholders on the value of data-driven insights - Provide training to finance team members on the effective use of analytics tools and dashboards - Define KPIs and develop metrics to gauge and measure business performance - Collaborate with data engineers, IT, and Enterprise Architecture teams to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval - Work with Enterprise Architecture teams to set standards and best practices for data analysis, visualization, and reporting in finance - Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting
