Product Application Engineer - Building Automation

- Degree in mechanical, electrical, or building environments engineering technology, or relevant trade experience - 3-5 years experience in building automation and HVAC control systems, preferably in the IoT sector - Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) - Proficient in BMS software, programming, and hardware (e.g., Distech, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls) - Extensive knowledge of building automation, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, refrigeration systems, and operations - Experience in commissioning HVAC automation controls and systems - Knowledge of building management protocols like BACnet, Modbus, Lonworks - Advanced experience with Unix/Linux operating systems - Ability to navigate, program, execute commands, and write scripts in various Linux environments - Strong IT, networking, configuration, and architecture skills - Excellent organizational and communication capabilities for multi-department collaboration - Practical experience with electronics, testing equipment, and circuitry - Skills in constructing control panels, wiring, terminations, and tool usage - Knowledge of the Python programming language - Familiarity with MQTT and APIs such as RESTful and Node Red - Tridium Niagara 4 certification is an advantage - Bilingual in French and English, with the ability to effectively communicate in both languages
