Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Over 7 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, ideally within financial services or trading systems
- Demonstrated experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), QA Automation Engineer, or equivalent role
- Strong hands-on expertise in developing and maintaining test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with modern open-source JavaScript testing frameworks including Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and WebdriverIO
- Good comprehension of testing modern web applications developed with Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks
- Significant experience debugging client-side JavaScript issues using Chrome Developer Tools
- Solid working knowledge of SQL for database queries, data validation, and test investigations
- Proficient in Python for constructing utilities, automation helpers, test scripts, and data processing tools
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins, and proficient with GIT
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including command-line usage, scripting, and troubleshooting
- Experience in automated testing for UI, API, and regression testing
- Exceptional analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web applications
- Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases
- Support applications utilizing modern frontend technologies, including Angular and React
- Employ contemporary open-source automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and WebdriverIO
- Debug client-side JavaScript issues using Chrome Developer Tools, addressing browser console errors, network failures, UI rendering issues, and performance bottlenecks
- Develop and maintain test utilities, support scripts, and validation tools using Python
- Utilize SQL for data validation, troubleshooting, backend verification, reconciliation, and test data analysis
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA teams, product owners, and DevOps to ensure quality assurance across the software development lifecycle
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI or Jenkins
- Operate in Linux environments for test execution, troubleshooting, scripting, and automation support
- Analyze defects, identify root causes, and generate clear documentation for issues discovered during testing
- Use modern AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor, Claude, GPT, or similar platforms, to enhance productivity, speed up test creation, and improve debugging and analysis processes
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in quality engineering practices, tools, and automation standards
