Requirements
Must:
- 2-5 years of experience in a Data Platform Engineering position
- Proficient in software engineering with strong skills in Python
- Extensive experience with SQL and databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift, Presto, etc.
- Experience in building ETL and stream processing pipelines utilizing Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow/Prefect, etc.
- Familiarity with data science tools and libraries, e.g. Jupyter, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Dask, Pytorch, MLFlow, Kubeflow, etc.
- Working knowledge of AWS/Google Cloud Platform (S3, EC2, IAM, etc.), Kubernetes, and Linux in production environments
- Strong commitment to automation and DevOps practices
- Experience with managing large data volume, velocity, and variety
- Self-motivated and agile with a focus on task completion
- Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to participate in on-call responsibilities outside of regular business hours
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage processes that utilize Tradewebs data platform using technologies such as public cloud infrastructure (AWS and Google Cloud Platform), Kafka, databases, and containers
- Improve Tradewebs data science platform leveraging open source software and cloud services
- Create and maintain ETL pipelines to integrate data into the platform, define schemas, build DAG processing pipelines, and monitor data quality
- Oversee and operate mission-critical production services
