Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar field
- Proven problem-solving abilities with a strong track record in SRE and DevOps methodologies and tools, ensuring high system reliability and performance
- Extensive experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure as code
- Proficiency in automation and scripting, particularly with Python, alongside familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
- In-depth knowledge of container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and EKS
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud services, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure, along with container technology
- Strong communication skills able to articulate complex technical ideas to varied audiences
- Experience with DevOps tools like GitHub, Harness, and Dynatrace
- Familiarity with the creation of self-healing systems and automated response workflows (bonus)
- AWS certifications (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) and knowledge of GitOps practices and infrastructure monitoring best practices (optional)

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated processes to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual input, fostering a reliable application environment
- Collaborate with observability engineers to deliver actionable insights regarding application and infrastructure health, while supporting a culture of teamwork and professional growth
- Ensure consistent and scalable code deployments using CI/CD pipelines through GitHub and Harness, along with utilizing Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Develop automation and operational documentation primarily through Python scripting
- Oversee container orchestration platforms and associated cloud-native solutions
- Propel reliability enhancements through establishing Service Level Objectives (SLOs), adherence to error budgets, and alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Implement observability enhancements using tools like Dynatrace and CloudWatch
- Lead critical incident management efforts, coordinating resolutions with stakeholders and initiating problem management to avert future issues
- Conduct blameless post-incident reviews to drive continual improvement
- Work collaboratively across departments to integrate SRE principles into both application design and operations to achieve reliability objectives
- Participate in architectural assessments, providing insights on reliability and scalability
- Mentor and guide fellow team members and SREs, advising on design choices and considerations
