Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security engineering, focusing on SIEM administration and SOAR platform development.
- Proficient in security agent deployment and managing their lifecycle.
- Proven expertise in one or more SIEM/SOAR platforms like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar.
- Strong grasp of log source types, parsing methodologies, and normalization techniques.
- Skilled in scripting languages, especially Python and PowerShell, with experience in custom integrations and automation.
- Exceptional communication abilities to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels, including SOC analysts and leaders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, configuration, and continual maintenance of sophisticated SIEM environments, managing diverse data sources and ensuring proper log parsing and enrichment.
- Continuously monitor platform health, troubleshoot ingestion issues, and enhance performance for operational excellence.
- Create, manage, and enhance SOAR playbooks and workflows to streamline alert triage and response actions.
- Identify automation opportunities to decrease manual effort and improve detection and response times.
- Lead the deployment and configuration of security agents across various computing environments, ensuring comprehensive coverage and policy enforcement.
- Develop and refine detection rules and alerting thresholds in the SIEM, enhancing detection accuracy and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with threat intelligence and SOC teams to adapt to emerging threats through actionable content.
- Manage the integration lifecycle of data sources, ensuring ongoing health monitoring.
- Utilize scripting to streamline tool development, automate tasks, and expand platform capabilities.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation to improve onboarding and incident support processes.
