Requirements
Must:
- Typically, 4-8 years of experience in application security, with substantial hands-on expertise in using SAST/SCA/DAST tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in assessing complex web applications, APIs, and mobile applications for security vulnerabilities.
- Strong grasp of application security standards (e.g., OWASP Top Ten, SANS CWE Top 25).
- Familiarity with programming languages and frameworks prevalent in web and mobile applications, such as Java, Python, Bash/Shell Scripting, PHP, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) techniques in cybersecurity contexts (e.g., anomaly detection, threat hunting, behavioral analytics, or risk scoring).
- Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Harness, GHA).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their security features.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
Responsibilities
- Lead the designated Application Security team members.
- Design and uphold secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate security tools like SAST, DAST, and SCA into development workflows.
- Automate security testing and compliance verifications.
- Monitor and react to security incidents across cloud and container environments.
- Enforce security policies, standards, and procedures necessary for secure development.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments on web applications, APIs, and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to embed DAST into CI/CD workflows.
- Analyze scanning results, validate findings, and prioritize remediation based on risk assessment.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities pertinent to application security.
- Provide direction and training on interpreting reports and strategies for remediation.
