Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of hands-on data center experience
- Demonstrated expertise with fiber optic and copper structured cabling
- Experience in labeling, bundling, dressing, and porting cables in live or production data center settings
- Capability to read and interpret drawings, scope documents, and labeling guidelines
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in data center environments (raised floors, equipment aisles)
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end labeling of fiber optic and copper cables following client specifications and designs
- Bundle, dress, and route cables adhering to data center best practices and client requirements
- Connect cables to panels, switches, and hardware according to design documentation
- Ensure proper cable management, bend radius, slack, and overall presentation
- Conduct QC/QA checks on assigned tasks to confirm:
- Accurate labeling at both ends
- Correct port placement per documentation
- Proper dressing, routing, and bundling of cables
- Absence of visible cable damage or compromised jackets
- Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies or issues to project leadership
- Operate independently or collaboratively to meet project timelines
- Offer guidance and support to Level I technicians when necessary
- Maintain a tidy, organized workspace compliant with client and safety standards
- Adhere to all site safety protocols and PPE requirements
