Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Up to 1 year of experience in a data center, cabling, or technical environment (experience preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail with the capability to adhere to labeling standards and instructions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, structured work environment
- Comfort in data center settings, including raised flooring and equipment aisles
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain prolonged standing or walking
Responsibilities
- Precisely label fiber optic and copper cables according to client specifications, schematics, and project needs
- Verify cable IDs and rack positions while ensuring labeling consistency at both ends of the cable
- Conduct QC/QA checks to ensure:
- Labels are accurate, legible, and correctly positioned
- Cables exhibit no visible damage, fractures, kinks, or compromised jackets during labeling
- Identify and report any discrepancies in labeling or visible cable damage to project leadership
- Assist in updating labeling documents, checklists, and revisions as necessary
- Adhere to all site safety protocols and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Keep work areas tidy and organized to support project timelines and client standards
