Requirements
Must:
- Graduated from a Technical Support program in Canada
- Demonstrated experience in a technical support role or similar position
- Solid understanding of computer networking concepts and protocols
- Proficient in troubleshooting both MacOS and Windows operating systems
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical users
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for both MacOS and Windows operating systems, helping users resolve software and hardware issues
- Support students, staff, and faculty in understanding and using various applications, guiding them through technical procedures
- Maintain precise records of customer interactions, reported issues, and solutions offered
- Collaborate with other technical teams to escalate complex issues when necessary
- Conduct follow-up communications with users to ensure their issues have been resolved to satisfaction
- Scan and file documents as required
- Assist the front desk with various tasks
- Responsible for opening and closing the school on certain occasions
- Undertake other duties as assigned
Description
We are Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc., seeking a part-time technical support person to work Mondays to Fridays from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some scheduling flexibility. This position offers between 16 to 28 hours per week. Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional technical support while enhancing your skills. We offer a supportive work environment with competitive pay starting from $18.00 per hour, and the role is performed in person.
