Requirements
Must:
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with integration patterns (e.g., REST APIs, webhooks)
- Familiarity with compliance standards and security protocols related to Department of Defense projects
- Strong understanding of best practices in software engineering including clean code principles, version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and code reviews
- Successful track record in scaling and mentoring technical teams, promoting a culture focused on accountability and continuous innovation
- Ability to closely collaborate with business units, effectively translating stakeholder requirements into technical solutions
- Skilled in diagnosing complex technical and business challenges and designing creative solutions in fast-paced environments
- Eligible to obtain a DOD SECRET Security Clearance
- Self-motivated with a commitment to staying current on cloud technologies and industry best practices
- Proficiency with languages and frameworks such as Python, Go, and a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Vue) is preferred
- Expertise in GCP services (GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub), PostgreSQL, and/or NoSQL databases is a plus
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and advanced monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus/Grafana

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performance engineering team, providing mentorship and performance feedback while engaging in hands-on technical work
- Design and oversee the architecture of secure, scalable cloud solutions utilizing our API services and platform, ensuring best coding practices are followed
- Work collaboratively and confidently with business stakeholders, acting as the primary technical contact for critical deal closures and translating complex requirements into actionable technical roadmaps
- Develop and drive technical strategies for DOD-compliant systems, favoring cloud architecture best practices, especially in GCP environments
- Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through agile practices, architectural reviews, and ensuring engineering efforts align with business expansion goals
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, and Solutions, to assess technical feasibility, mitigate risks, and offer strategic insights throughout the product lifecycle
- Establish and enforce optimal coding practices across the team, including documentation, testing, and security standards, while remaining up-to-date on trends in cloud computing and analytics
- Actively participate in business initiatives, contributing to executive discussions, workshops, and planning to effectively bridge technical and organizational domains
