Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Functional Test Engineer creating and supporting test solutions
- Ability to independently design, develop, implement, and support test programs for automated electronic test equipment using C# or other object-oriented programming languages (experience with National Instrument Test Stand is a plus)
- Experienced in writing test software that utilizes communication protocols such as Device Net, RS485/422, TCP/IP, CAN, etc.
- Proficient in developing software to interact with electronic instruments like Meters, Power Supplies, and Oscilloscopes
- Skilled in creating test plans, user manuals, and comprehensive test specification documentation
- Strong foundational knowledge of electronics, including Ohms law, and the ability to interpret electronic schematics for printed circuit boards
- Capable of reviewing product electronic schematics and determining necessary stimulus and responses to fully test manufactured products
- Experienced in developing manufacturing test solutions for both analog and digital electronics
- Knowledge of PLC programming is advantageous
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, strong team collaboration abilities, and exceptional problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent educational experience
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot automated methods for functionally testing and diagnosing manufactured products, including electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards
- Prepare and release comprehensive documentation regarding all aspects of the test solutions
- Create test specifications to ensure adequate product testing and coverage
- Develop wiring schematics for systems and test fixtures using AutoCAD Electrical
- Compile and manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for systems and test fixtures
- Author user guides to support plant engineering for long-term assistance
- Ensure the test software and associated documentation are properly released into the designated source control repository
