Requirements
Must:
- Must possess an active DoD Secret or higher clearance that has been granted or renewed within the last 5 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent educational and professional experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in systems engineering.
- Prior experience supporting military or defense initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with all levels of staff and management.
- Comprehensive understanding of the full Systems Development Life Cycle.
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning capabilities to address issues and foresee potential programmatic and technical risks.
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships, encourage collaboration, and work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience in deriving requirements, developing capabilities, analyzing complex needs, and formulating feasible solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements into actionable specifications or capabilities.
- Capacity to break down customer needs into actionable capabilities for development teams.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain Special Program Access before commencing employment.
- Willingness to occasionally work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed (CONUS).
- Due to U.S. Government contract stipulations, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this position.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with diverse engineering teams to develop architectural content and implement solutions that fulfill customer requirements.
- Engage in team-based activities throughout the program lifecycle utilizing Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
- Execute engineering system development tasks, including requirements analysis, system architecture, design phases, integration support, test procedure development, and formal validations.
- Analyze customer requirements and CONOPS to define system-level architecture and allocate subsystem specifications.
- Conduct system-level assessments, perform trade studies, and allocate functional requirements to subsystems as necessary.
- Apply systems engineering processes effectively across programs and projects.
- Create and refine critical engineering documents such as specifications, reports, plans, technical memos, and presentations.
- Ensure all program requirements are satisfied, risks are recognized and mitigated, and company protocols are adhered to.
