Requirements
Must:
- Strong data visualization abilities and proficiency in extracting and transforming data across various platforms.
- Proven experience visualizing data using Power BI or Tableau, with a preference for Power BI.
- Scripting expertise in R, SAS, Python, or MATLAB.
- Hands-on experience with SQL querying.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelors degree plus 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree with 6-10 years of experience in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with specialized software such as MATLAB, SAS, or R.
- Understanding of machine learning methodologies and data mining techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Utilize programming and statistical tools such as R, SAS, MATLAB, and Python to conduct analyses.
- Implement algorithms for data mining tasks, including classification, clustering, and regression.
- Leverage libraries like scikit-learn and TensorFlow for machine learning applications in Python.
- Efficiently manage and manipulate large datasets, both structured and unstructured.
- Execute complex database queries using SQL to retrieve data.
- Generate insightful reports and dashboards primarily using Power BI, with optional use of Tableau or Python visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn).
Description
We are seeking an Operations Research Data Analyst for our team located in Ft. Meade, MD, where you will work 100% on-site. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for permanent placement thereafter. We offer a competitive rate of $85/hr on a W2, translating to an annual salary of $185k upon hiring.
