Must:
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of development experience on the AS400 iSeries platform. This includes at least 5 years of experience in coding RPG, RPGLE, Free Form RPG, and Embedded SQL. Additionally, a strong background in developing SQL Stored Procedures, Triggers, and DB2 SQL is essential. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is also required, particularly with their implementation processes.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS400 iSeries platform using RPG, RPGLE, Free Form RPG, and CL/CLLE. Your duties will also involve developing and optimizing SQL Stored Procedures, Triggers, and complex DB2 SQL queries. You will create and maintain APIs, utilizing the Zend Framework to ensure integration with external systems. Your responsibilities will extend to implementing and troubleshooting Embedded SQL in RPG programs, as well as managing and analyzing the database with DBU. Additionally, you will support the replacement and implementation of a WMS system over the next 18 months.
Description
This is a contract position for an RPG/iSeries Developer with expertise in AS400, and compensation will be determined based on experience. The work will start as a hybrid/remote setup, with initial onsite requirements and flexibility moving forward. The annual salary range is between $100,229.89 and $140,706.97. Proximity to Birmingham, AL 35203 is preferred.
