Requirements

Must:
We require candidates to hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent professional experience. You should have over 7 years of hands-on experience in EDI map development and familiarity with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (v6.X+), Sterling File Gateway, and Control Center within high-volume environments. A strong understanding of Sterling adaptors (FTP/S, HTTP/S, AS2, MQ, ODBC/JDBC) is essential. Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as XPath/XSLT, Java/Groovy, SQL, UNIX shell, or PowerShell for automation and monitoring is also expected. Additionally, we seek individuals with practical experience in integrating existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and other backend systems with external partner systems using integration tools. A comprehensive knowledge of standards and protocols including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, cXML, HIPAA, GS1, JSON, CSV, AS2, SFTP, REST APIs, and VAN is important as well.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the complete onboarding and off-boarding process for trading partners, managing requirements gathering, mapping, connectivity, certifications, and go-live preparations. You will maintain partner profiles, certificates, schedules, and SLAs, and coordinate mass migrations or consolidations when necessary. Daily monitoring of EDI/B2B traffic (including X12, EDIFACT, XML/JSON, cXML, and flat files) via Sterling dashboards, alerts, and custom reports will be part of your responsibilities. You will troubleshoot failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and collaborate with infrastructure, network, and business teams to implement permanent fixes. Additionally, you will design, code, and test complex maps, adapters, and business processes in Sterling Integrator using the Graphical Process Modeler/BPML. Your role will include optimizing performance, refactoring legacy maps, migrating EDI transactions from legacy to modern systems, and enforcing mapping standards while promoting the use of reusable components. You will serve as a technical point of contact for external partners and VANs, translating business requirements into technical solutions. Mentoring junior staff and contributing to a 24/7 on-call rotation will also be part of your tasks. You will track KPIs related to acknowledgment timeliness, error rates, and cycle times and propose automation and process enhancements. Evaluating emerging B2B/EDI tools and recommending improvements to the integration roadmap will be expected as well.
