Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in software development, science, or a related discipline required
- Over 7 years of experience in software development
- At least 3 years in a managerial position
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong facilitative leadership skills to empower and grow team members and Agile teams
- Capability to lead effectively both with and without direct authority
- Proficiency in utilizing data and metrics to identify and resolve issues while promoting continuous improvement
- Genuine interest in science with a willingness to grasp basic scientific principles
- Eagerness to contribute to a multi-disciplinary R&D team focused on product development
- Proficiency with Microsoft development tools, particularly C# and the .NET Framework; experience in multi-threaded development is a plus
- Highly motivated and collaborative team player, committed to ongoing learning and expanding expertise
- Familiarity with spectroscopy and various types of spectrometers
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise and mentor software team members to facilitate their career advancement
- Assist teams in collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making while removing obstacles to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, innovative software
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors and collaborative partners to enhance product development efforts
- Leverage your expertise in spectroscopy to design software and algorithms that operate with FT-IR, NIR, and Raman spectrometers and microscopes
- Collaborate with your team to strategize and execute software features for new products
