Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience in system administration.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Linux, as well as virtualization technologies.
- Expertise in Windows Server and operating systems management.
- Experience with automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Shell.
- Familiarity with incident management and problem resolution processes.
- Preferred experience with Azure.
- In-depth knowledge of multiple technology services including but not limited to Windows/Linux Servers, Data Centers, Storage, and Cloud platforms.
- Strong project management and communication skills, capable of leading projects.
- Proven ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
- Skilled in providing effective troubleshooting on various platforms, including Windows and Linux.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Willing to attend meetings outside of standard hours when required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance our critical infrastructure and applications.
- Collaborate with team members to support our mission of creating a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.
- Manage complex enterprise systems and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure optimal system performance and reliability across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Drive automation initiatives and enhance processes to facilitate digital transformation.
- Provide hands-on operational support for laboratory instruments, systems, and enterprise applications such as LIMS and ELN.
- Oversee daily setup, maintenance, updates, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring of systems to minimize downtime.
- Support change control and validation activities for instruments and systems.
