Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or related disciplines; masters degree or equivalent experience is preferred
- Over 4 years of experience in a data engineering or data science role, showcasing increasing responsibilities and scope
- Demonstrated experience in creating models and analyzing extensive, complex datasets to identify opportunities for revenue and process enhancement within an organization
- Strong technical skills in Python and SQL
- Proficiency in data engineering and reporting tools like Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, and SAS Analytics
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology is beneficial
- Practical experience with distributed computational frameworks, such as Spark
- Minimal travel expected, less than 10%
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design and execution of data pipelines and Microsoft Fabric-based data models to facilitate unified financial reporting and analytics
- Develop, review, and optimize ETL processes using Python, ensuring proficient data ingestion, transformation, and quality assurance across various data sources (ERP systems, financial platforms, operational tools)
- Collaborate with Finance leadership to identify business requirements, translate them into strong technical solutions, and deliver actionable insights for informed decision-making
- Set and uphold data engineering benchmarks, including coding standards, documentation, version control, and automated testing for ETL pipelines
- Create, test, and launch scalable data models utilizing Lakehouse architectures and Fabric Data Warehouses to support forecasting, planning, and profitability assessments
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and analysts, fostering skill development in Fabric, Power BI, and contemporary Python data frameworks (Pandas, PySpark, SQLAlchemy)
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and Data Governance teams to ensure conformity with enterprise data architecture and security regulations
- Stay informed on advancements in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Python, and data orchestration tools, proposing their strategic deployment
