Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field with 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex instruments
- High school diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing laboratory and scientific instruments
- Familiarity with HVAC/R, ultra-high vacuum systems, and high-voltage equipment is preferred
- Proven track record of achieving customer satisfaction goals
- Experience in documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports
- Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation and schematics
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organization and time management abilities
- Capability to train and effectively support customers
- Adaptable and responsive to customer requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Commitment to safety and adherence to quality standards
- Valid drivers license with the ability to travel 50-75%
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and function in laboratory environments
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced analytical and scientific instruments
- Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues to the component level
- Provide technical support in laboratory and industrial settings
- Train and assist customers on the proper operation and upkeep of equipment
- Document service activities and create detailed service reports
- Respond to customer needs often at short notice
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
- Travel within the assigned territory (50-75%) to support customers
