Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in software engineering and coding
- Experience in building production-level AI applications utilizing Python, APIs, JavaScript, SQL, or similar technologies
- Practical knowledge of large language models like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or open-source variations
- Experience in deploying AI solutions in real business contexts
- Strong analytical skills with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Capacity for independent work and swift execution
- (Preferred) Background in insurance, claims, fintech, healthcare, or regulated sectors
- (Preferred) Knowledge of OCR, document processing, workflow automation, and data extraction techniques
- (Preferred) Ability to evaluate or manage external AI vendors
- (Preferred) Expertise in creating scalable internal tools and processes
- (Preferred) Startup or entrepreneurial mindset
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain internally used AI-powered tools and automations
- Create solutions leveraging large language models, natural language processing, workflow automation, and data management systems
- Design AI functionalities aimed at claims processing, document review, customer service, reporting, and operational workflows
- Analyze, internalize, and optimize existing AI solutions provided by vendors
- Integrate AI frameworks with internal databases, customer relationship management systems, claims platforms, and communication tools
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and prioritize high-return on investment AI projects
- Ensure all systems comply with privacy, security, and regulatory standards
- Assess business impact and continually refine deployed AI tools
- Contribute to the strategic roadmap for internal AI functions as the team expands
