Requirements
Must:
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong aptitude for anticipating the implications of various technical solutions
- Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation proficiencies
- Exceptional analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field, coupled with a decade of pertinent industry experience
- Over 5 years of managerial experience concentrating on development and mentorship
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical direction, support, and guidance to team members, fostering their growth and skills
- Manage and allocate staffing resources in alignment with project requirements
- Collaborate with Hardware Engineering, Enterprise Software, Testing, DAO, Project Management, and Sales teams to achieve strategic initiatives outlined by senior leadership
- Engage and support contractors, vendors, and principal clients
- Design, develop, prototype, and troubleshoot electronic designs while considering costs, quality, and production limitations
- Carry out root-cause analyses and implement solutions for critical product and system failures
- Document and enforce the design process, including standards, best practices, and procedures for embedded software products
- Generate necessary product documentation and certification
- Assist in the Quality Management System as it pertains to the Engineering department
- Work in close partnership with the Hardware Engineering Manager regarding the AS9100 system

This role, reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, will drive the execution of intricate embedded projects while collaborating with various departments to align with strategic goals.
