Requirements
Must:
- AA or AS Degree and A+ certification is preferred, which may substitute for 3 years of relevant experience if proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products is demonstrated.
- Proven experience in PC service and support for 3 years.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Windows 95/NT, XP, and MS Exchange systems.
- Previous experience connecting and installing drivers for external printers.
- Ability to execute basic printer repairs, such as roller replacement.
- Capability to install and replace desktop computer components.
- Proficient in resolving WiFi and wireless connectivity challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with guests and team members from diverse backgrounds.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must acquire and maintain Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other necessary licenses.
- Proof of authorization to work in the United States is required.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and to navigate all areas of the property.
- Composure under pressure and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the service ticket work queue.
- Contact customers promptly to acknowledge and take ownership of support issues.
- Timely update service tickets to reflect current status.
- Review the ticket queue hourly and update tickets based on status changes.
- Acknowledge incident tickets within 15 minutes of receipt and initiate the resolution process.
- Accurately update dropdown fields within the service tickets to detail the issues and support provided.
- Maintain current status in the ticket comment field and document all resolutions comprehensively.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their issues or requests.
- Escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.
- Respond swiftly to management inquiries and requests.
- Create and refine documentation outlining duties specific to the role of Deskside Analyst – Level 1.
- Participate in technical training to enhance skills and knowledge, including certification training.
- Repair and install various network peripherals as needed.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues with appropriate diagnostic methods and vendor support.
- Recommend software and hardware changes to rectify issues.
- Install and update computer virus protection software.
- Diagnose and identify failing components using testing procedures and diagnostic software.
- Communicate findings and resolutions to relevant IT staff and users.
- Provide informal instruction to users on basic applications and productivity software.
