Requirements
Must:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required; experience in a hotel or a related field is necessary.
- At least one year of relevant experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred.
- Training from a trade school or college courses in a related area is beneficial.
- Ability to work long and flexible hours as needed.
- Physical stamina to exert over 100 pounds occasionally, and/or over 50 pounds frequently, and/or over 20 pounds constantly for lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving objects.
- Maintain a warm and welcoming demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs on the hotel air conditioning system, including changing filters, cleaning coils, and replacing motors.
- Take necessary readings on equipment and test cooling towers while recording findings.
- Replace and program televisions as needed.
- Change light switches, receptacles, bulbs, and fixtures.
- Conduct furniture repairs and replace/repair pumps.
- Perform plumbing repairs, such as clearing clogged drains and changing washers and fittings.
- Read and understand blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Trace and repair various types of water lines and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
- Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
- Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas, along with painting designated areas and repairing sheetrock and wall coverings.
- Repair and program the hotelโs electronic lock system.
