Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer and Information Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 0 years of relevant experience required; 2 years preferred
- Basic understanding of computer technology
- Familiarity with various operating systems; Mac experience is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
- Ability to provide customer support and train end users
Responsibilities
- Provide daily technical and maintenance support for administrative and research information systems
- Handle first level computer support inquiries via calls, emails, and in-person visits
- Monitor systems to ensure optimal performance
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system-related issues
- Offer mobile device support and troubleshoot connectivity problems
- Assist in the installation and delivery of hardware and software
- Provide support for peripheral devices such as printers and scanners
- Offer additional assistance as directed by the supervisor
Description
We are seeking an IT Service Support Analyst 1 to join our Medicine Office of Research Administration at The Ohio State University. This regular position entails a 40-hour work week on the first shift, and is located at the Biomedical Research Tower.
