Satellite systems engineer

- Assist in the setup, observation, testing, and maintenance of earth station telecommunications and associated equipment - Conduct diagnostic assessments and troubleshoot satellite and network systems using established tools and methods - Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee consistent and effective workflows - Monitor network performance for abnormalities, escalate concerns as necessary, and take proactive measures to uphold service levels - Support the assembly, configuration, and testing of satellite and network components including modems, routers, switches, amplifiers, and multiplexers - Collaborate with internal and external teams during service testing and activation - Engage closely with government, domestic, and international clients to ensure the highest level of service for their circuits - Independently manage site operations during designated shifts - Commission VSAT terminals (I-Direct and Newtec networks) and support multiple VSAT hubs delivering crucial services - Implement emergency restoration procedures following power or network disruptions - Build strong partnerships with internal departments and external collaborators for timely task completion - Provide 24x7 rotational shift support, including weekends, on-call coverage, and adapt to last-minute scheduling changes as needed
