Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or any Engineering discipline
- Over 5 years of practical experience with Java and J2EE technologies, including Java Web Services, JMS, JSP, XML, JSON, JDBC, etc.
- Extensive experience with Web Services (SOAP and REST) utilizing Java Spring Boot or Apache Camel
- More than 5 years of expertise in software architecture and systems design
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK
- Solid understanding of software development best practices
- In-depth technical knowledge of AWS relevant to application development; certifications are a plus
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization, with the ability to influence leadership
- Strong capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convert requirements between business, project management, and technical domains
Responsibilities
- Develop applications using Java and J2EE technologies, incorporating Micro Services, JMS, XML, JSON, and JDBC
- Identify, initiate, and spearhead the establishment of best practices for application deployment in AWS
- Design reusable architectures and services to enhance development velocity for agile teams
- Create and implement new software architecture patterns in the cloud that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective, ensuring industry-standard practices
- Employ a shift-left approach to integrate security, testing, and performance within the development cycle
- Utilize full-stack engineering mindset in application development
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) through CloudFormation templates, YAML files, and Python Lambda functions for automated build and release processes
- Monitor and apply proactive observability techniques to anticipate and identify abnormal system behaviors
- Mentor junior Cloud and Software Engineers
- Present innovative ideas to leadership and educate others on relevant topics
- Communicate effectively and professionally in both verbal and written forms
