Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline
- Active Associate-level certification in AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in application software development, including AWS resources, APIs, and UI components
- 4+ years of experience with Java and J2EE technologies, including Java Web Services, JMS, XML, JSON, JDBC
- Proven expertise in creating SOAP and RESTful Web Services using Java Spring Boot
- Understanding of batch processing and message queues (MQ) preferred
- Experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle
- 3+ years of experience in systems design, continuous integration, and DevOps methodologies
- Familiarity with front-end technologies, particularly Angular, is a plus
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture, Swagger, and API Connect (APIC)
- Hands-on experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Docker
- Must possess experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in Agile or SAFe environments
- Ability to leverage AI tools and Copilot for enhancing productivity in development tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for influencing leadership and collaborating across teams
- Awareness of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing practices
- Demonstrated independence, self-motivation, and good judgment skills
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain scalable and secure APIs
- Build and refine Angular components and utilize other front-end technologies
- Conduct code evaluations and uphold quality standards for API and UI modules within multiple scrum teams in our Agile Release Train (ART)
- Adhere to architectural guidelines and collaborate with architects and technical leads to maintain application integrity
- Conceptualize solutions with a firm grasp of technology trade-offs for optimal customer value
- Implement cloud-native architectural patterns that are scalable, reusable, secure, and cost-efficient
- Employ AWS services for application development and deployment, including Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge
- Apply DevOps practices and utilize CI/CD tools for continuous integration and seamless delivery
- Communicate risks, mitigations, and business impacts clearly and professionally in both verbal and written formats
- Present innovative concepts to leadership and identify areas for enhancement
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for billing applications and integration components
- Share knowledge and mentor team members, including sourcing partners, on development guidelines and best practices
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, effectively managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment
- Take ownership and drive innovation using technology to address customer challenges
- Oversee development teams by eliminating technical hurdles and guiding architecture and design
- Maintain regular interactions with other team leads to ensure smooth progress across development streams
- Coordinate with concurrent projects to support parallel development and minimize code or environment conflicts
