Requirements

Must:
- I have over 5 years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and integration development using GOSU with PolicyCenter versions 7.0, 8.0, or 10. - I possess 5+ years of experience in developing web-based Java/J2EE or .Net applications. - I have demonstrated experience in leading software development teams. - I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - I have hands-on experience with Java and J2EE technologies, including Java Web Services, JMS, JSP, XML, JSON, JDBC, etc. - I am experienced with Web Services (SOAP and REST). - Knowledge of Spring Batch/Boot is a plus. - I have experience with containerization and familiarity with cloud infrastructure environments like OpenShift, AWS, or Azure, which is advantageous. - Experience in the security domain is a plus. - I have experience working with Oracle and SQL Server relational database technologies. - I have knowledge of open-source database technologies. - I am familiar with JBoss. - I have experience with continuous integration and DevOps practices, utilizing tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Rally, SonarQube, etc. - I am comfortable working in an Agile methodology environment. - I can demonstrate skills in shaping and leading the development of technical specifications. - I possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - I have a proven ability to complete tasks within established timelines. - I excel at building strong relationships both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

- I will provide technical leadership while upholding the vision of the application architecture and ensuring the integrity of the application environment in collaboration with architects and other tech leads. - I will actively participate in development, oversee code reviews, and establish standards for development practices. - I will partner with the project team to offer estimates, and ensure the quality and accuracy of technical designs, builds, and implementations. - I will comprehend and apply the overall technical vision for projects, programs, and systems, considering cross-functional impacts, organizational integration, and architecture rationalization. - I will mentor, coach, and train team members and peers, which includes both internal and vendor partners, to uphold development guidelines and best practices. - I will collaborate closely with the architecture team to guarantee that technical solution designs and implementations align with the architectural vision. - I will develop code that adheres to The Hartford's coding standards and industry best practices. - I will work collaboratively with the development team, Business Analysts, Application managers, QA test leads, and architects utilizing Agile methodology. - I will oversee technical deliverables, providing coaching and mentoring to junior developers while offering technical leadership to the team.

The annualized base pay range for this position is $114,720 - $172,080, with the actual pay potentially varying based on factors such as performance, proficiency, and required competencies. This base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total employee compensation package, which may also include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and immediate recognition.
