Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or any Engineering field.
- Active Associate-level certification in AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Over 3 years of direct experience in application software development, including AWS resources, APIs, and user interface components.
- More than 4 years of experience with Java and J2EE technologies (including Java Web Services, JMS, XML, JSON, JDBC).
- Proficiency in creating SOAP and RESTful Web Services using Java Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with batch processing and Message Queues (MQ) is preferred.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle.
- More than 3 years of experience in systems design, continuous integration, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., Angular) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture, Swagger, and API Connect (APIC).
- Hands-on experience with version control and CI/CD tools, such as GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, uDeploy, Rally, Checkmarx or AWS equivalents: CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodeStar.
- Must possess experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in Agile or SAFe environments.
- Ability to utilize AI tools and Copilot for productivity enhancement in everyday tasks like development, debugging, documentation, and automation workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence leadership and collaborate across teams.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including source code management, code quality, and testing methodologies.
- Proven independence, self-motivation, sound judgment, and active listening abilities.
- Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure APIs.
- Build and refine Angular components and other front-end technologies.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold quality standards for API and UI modules across multiple scrum teams within our Agile Release Train (ART).
- Comply with architectural standards and safeguard application integrity in partnership with architects and technical leads.
- Create solutions with a comprehensive understanding of technology trade-offs, balancing risks with rewards to maximize customer value.
- Implement cloud-native architecture patterns that are scalable, reusable, secure, and cost-effective, including multi-region support and fault tolerance strategies.
- Utilize AWS services for application development and deployment, including but not limited to: Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and AWS Batch.
- Apply DevOps practices and use CI/CD tools for ongoing integration and delivery.
- Communicate risks, solutions, and business impacts clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Present innovative concepts to leadership and identify improvement opportunities.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for billing applications and integration components.
- Share knowledge and mentor team members (including sourcing partners) on development guidelines and best practices.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Take initiative and drive innovation to utilize technology in resolving customer challenges.
- Oversee development teams by eliminating technical hurdles and providing guidance on architecture and design.
- Maintain consistent contact with other team leads to ensure efficient progress across development streams.
- Collaborate with other projects to facilitate parallel development and minimize code or environmental conflicts.
