Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field - Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience - Proficient in programming with Python and .NET or Java - Experience in developing cloud-native applications on AWS - Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools - Strong grasp of distributed systems and backend engineering principles - Preferred: Experience with Intelligent Document Processing or GenAI document platforms - Preferred: Exposure to OCR, NLP, or machine learning technologies - Preferred: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes - Preferred: AWS certifications - Preferred: Knowledge of insurance or financial document types - Preferred: Experience with agile methodology - Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and sustain scalable backend services for intelligent document processing workflows - Create cloud-native applications on AWS, utilizing managed services for secure, resilient, and highly available systems - Develop and enhance automated document workflows, such as ingestion, classification, extraction, and validation pipelines - Handle service-level aspects including performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency - Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and fault-tolerant strategies - Collaborate with cross-functional team members to convert business requirements into well-architected software solutions - Take part in system design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making processes - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code initiatives - Write and update technical documentation and runbooks - Assess emerging technologies and participate in roadmap discussions
