Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or any Engineering discipline.
- I have over 10 years of hands-on experience with Java and J2EE technologies, including Java Web Services, JMS, JSP, XML, JSON, and JDBC, as well as experience with Web Services (SOAP and REST) utilizing Java Spring Boot or Apache Camel.
- I possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in software architecture and systems design.
- I am proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, including CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
- I have a robust understanding of software development practices, with a strong technical foundation in AWS related to application development; relevant certifications are a plus.
- My communication skills allow me to engage effectively with all organizational levels and influence leadership decisions.
- I have a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating requirements among business, project management, and technical projects or programs.
Responsibilities
- I am responsible for developing applications using Java and J2EE technologies, as well as Microservices, JMS, XML, JSON, and JDBC.
- I will identify, drive, and lead the implementation of standards and best practices for application deployment in AWS. This includes designing reusable architectures and services to enhance development velocity across agile teams.
- My role involves designing and implementing new software architecture patterns in the cloud that are scalable, secure, and cost-effective, adhering to industry standards such as multi-region support with fault tolerance and data replication strategies.
- I utilize a shift-left approach to integrate security, testing, and performance considerations early in the development cycle, embracing a full-stack engineering mindset.
- I am tasked with developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation templates, YAML files, build specifications, and Python Lambda functions to automate the build and release processes for all AWS resources and code artifacts.
- I implement proactive monitoring and observability measures to predict and identify abnormal system behaviors, ensuring timely alerts to mitigate system impacts.
- I also engage in mentoring junior Cloud and Software Engineers, present new ideas to leadership, and facilitate learning opportunities for others.
Description
- I possess very good experience with Sonar, various unit testing frameworks, and utilizing AI tools such as Copilot for application and infrastructure development. - Familiarity with AWS Flink is advantageous, although not required. - This role supports a hybrid work schedule, requiring presence in the office three days per week. - All candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship, as we do not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position. - The compensation for this role has an annualized base pay range of $126,160 to $189,240 based on an analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as performance, proficiency, and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
