Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as GED) from an accredited institution or relevant experience and/or training
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to fit test and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary
- Ability to meet physical demands including movement and lifting as relevant to the position
- 3+ months of relevant experience (preferred)
- Experience operating heavy machinery, especially loaders (preferred)
- Experience in quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial environments (preferred)
- MSHA or relevant safety certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all MSHA and H&K Safety protocols
- Carry out all tasks in a secure and professional manner
- Conduct plant maintenance duties
- Keep work areas clean, including catwalks, walkways, and general plant surroundings
- Take initiative to learn about plant functions and operations
- Acquire all necessary knowledge to complete assigned responsibilities
- Follow directions and collaborate effectively with the team
- Train across different jobs within the plant to provide support when needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
