Requirements
Must:
- Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology or Computer Support Technician, plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Combination of certifications such as ITIL, MCSA, Microsoft 365 Certified Desktop, Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals, and other relevant credentials is advantageous.
- Over 5 years of experience in designing and managing networks and security, particularly in organizations of similar size.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and Active Directory.
- Proficient in TCP/IP networking, Firewalls, Wi-Fi, and switches.
- Experience with VMware, HP, and Dell servers for at least 3 years.
- Capability to travel to remote sites in Alberta and BC as required.
- Proficient in providing technical support and resolving lateral technological issues.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information effectively to users.
Responsibilities
- Deliver moderate problem-solving assistance related to various software applications and hardware systems for executives, management, staff, and IT teams.
- Conduct detailed individual and group training sessions on new or updated technologies for staff.
- Install and maintain corporate database and network servers, providing recommendations to enhance performance and functionality.
- Assist in implementing the vision and strategy for Good Samaritans growth and transformation to effectively serve our community now and in the future.
- Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Technical Support Engineers to resolve challenging technical issues.
