Requirements
Must:
- Strong familiarity and prior experience with HTTP, PKI, signatures/encryption, SMTP, DNS, CWEs, CVEs, and other frameworks.
- Proficient in using Nessus, NMAP, ZAP, Burp Suite, Invicti, Nuclei or other scanning tools.
- Knowledgeable about web application scanning and web application firewalls.
- Experience with containers.
- Understanding of CIS benchmarks, STIGs, or other security hardening standards.
- Familiarity with SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP is a plus.
- Competence in PowerShell and Python.
- Experience with Jenkins.
- Understanding of Splunk data onboarding, including indexes, source types, data models, forwarders, apps, and HECs.
- Knowledge of Azure event hubs, Kafka, and syslog.
- Experience with Sentinel, Defender, CrowdStrike, or other EDRs.
- Ability to research independently, collect data, and document clear action plans.
- Systematic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to create clear and detailed documentation for a diverse technical audience.
- Strong communication skills for conveying requirements, priorities, and status clearly.
Responsibilities
- Analyze vulnerabilities from multiple sources and input them into the vulnerability management tool using approved methods to ensure a comprehensive overview of exposures.
- Assess existing vulnerabilities to identify problem areas or opportunities for mass mitigation.
- Collaborate with other teams to articulate the opportunities or requirements for security improvements.
- Escalate vulnerabilities that exceed our time-to-resolve limits.
- Configure scanning tools and oversee scan schedules.
- Gather relevant metrics and KPIs for departmental reporting.
- Explore opportunities for AI to enhance the vulnerability management process.
Description
