Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in providing technical support within a help desk or field technician capacity
- Strong understanding of desktop support processes and procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting methods for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
- Familiarity with various operating systems, especially Windows (Windows 10/11), with significant experience in Microsoft Office suite
- Practical experience in managing computer networks including LAN/WAN setups, TCP/IP configurations, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls (e.g., Watchguard), and network security best practices
- Proficiency with IT management tools such as Connectwise and GPO administration, along with remote support platforms like Screen Connect and NinjaOne
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to non-technical users while maintaining high standards of customer service
- Capacity to analyze intricate problems swiftly and devise effective solutions in a dynamic environment
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco CCNA are advantageous but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Provide extensive technical support to end-users through help desk tickets, phone inquiries, and on-site engagements, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network access
- Diagnose and address software challenges across various operating systems, ensuring minimal service interruption
- Oversee the performance and security of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and various peripherals
- Assist in managing computer assets by conducting software installations, updates, configurations, and tracking using tools like Connectwise
- Facilitate network administration tasks such as setting up and maintaining LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, firewall configurations like Meraki, and network security protocols
- Monitor IT infrastructure components, including Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and DHCP, utilizing Connectwise Manage for ticketing and NinjaOne for tracking
- Collaborate with team members to review system logs and diagnose intricate technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective remediations
