Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 8 years of pertinent experience or a Masters degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Extensive background in object-oriented programming
- Proficient in C, C++, and/or Ada (with a preference for Ada)
- Experience in developing real-time, multi-threaded systems
- Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat), virtual machines, and hypervisors
- Knowledge of low-level communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SCTP)
- Experience with the integration of hardware or complex systems
- Familiarity with version control and configuration management tools
- Strong verbal communication capabilities and a proven ability to work autonomously as well as within diverse teams
- Capability to acquire and sustain a Public Trust clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required
Responsibilities
- Design, create, test, and uphold software for real-time, high-availability systems
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding, refactoring, debugging, and automated test generation
- Implement AI responsibly throughout the software development lifecycle, covering requirements analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and code reviews
- Evaluate complex system requirements and convert them into effective, maintainable designs
- Develop and manage automation scripts for development, testing, and production environments
- Advocate for code quality, reuse, traceability, and collaboration across teams

This role involves supporting the UK National Airspace System Replacement Product Delivery Team, where you will contribute to the modernization of a crucial air traffic management platform that directly impacts national air traffic operations.
