Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems engineering, cloud engineering, or a similar discipline
- Experience with system integration, validation, and engineering analysis
- Strong knowledge of system performance and troubleshooting
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
- One or more cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud) are desirable
- Experience supporting federal or defense programs is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and distributed architectures
- Experience in high-security or classified environments
- Proficiency with system monitoring and performance optimization tools
- Ability to work effectively within engineering and research-focused settings
Responsibilities
- Support the stability and sustainability of cloud-based systems and distributed environments
- Execute system integration, verification, and validation tasks
- Conduct functional analysis, timeline assessments, and engineering trade studies
- Assist in requirements allocation and interface definition for hardware and software systems
- Create proactive engineering solutions to monitor and manage distributed systems
- Assess system performance, functionality, and configuration challenges
- Use trends and system metrics to enhance performance and dependability
- Collaborate with engineering and cloud teams to facilitate system optimization and integration
- Develop technical solutions to engineering obstacles within cloud environments

We are looking for a Research Systems Engineer to aid in cloud engineering, system integration, and analytical activities within a federal program. This role is essential in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems and distributed environments. The position involves supporting engineering analysis, system integration, and performance optimization across enterprise cloud infrastructure.
