Requirements

Must:
- Significant experience with C# and .NET development - Proficiency in working with legacy ASP.NET applications, including Web Forms and/or MVC - Strong hands-on skills with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery - Experience addressing accessibility challenges in web applications - Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and/or 2.2 as well as Section 508 guidelines - Capability to identify and remedy issues related to keyboard accessibility, screen readers, forms, tables, dialogs, and dynamic UI components - Familiarity with GitHub or similar version control platforms - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and standard deployment methodologies - Experience operating within Agile development settings - Robust debugging, problem-solving, and communication abilities - Experience with ARIA authoring techniques and accessible UI design principles (Preferred) - Familiarity with accessibility testing tools like Axe, WAVE, Accessibility Insights, or similar (Preferred) - Knowledge of screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver (Preferred) - Experience in enterprise or regulated environments (Preferred) - Familiarity with SQL Server, IIS, GitHub, and Azure DevOps (Preferred) - Exposure to automated regression testing or UI test automation (Preferred) - Experience working with legacy codebases that have limited documentation (Preferred)

Responsibilities

- Address accessibility defects in legacy ASP.NET applications - Evaluate application pages, controls, and workflows to pinpoint accessibility weaknesses - Modify HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and ASP.NET code to enhance accessibility compliance - Implement solutions related to keyboard navigation, focus management, semantic HTML, ARIA, forms, error messaging, tables, and dynamic content - Utilize audit findings, defect backlogs, and QA feedback to prioritize and execute remediation tasks - Collaborate with QA and business teams to validate solutions and reduce regression risks - Assist in manual and automated accessibility testing initiatives - Engage in code reviews and oversee source control, build, and deployment procedures - Operate within Agile teams and take part in sprint planning, estimation, and progress updates - Document remediation strategies, technical limitations, and reusable patterns
