Must:
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of practical IT experience, ideally in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or multi-client setting.
- Proficient knowledge of Windows Server & Desktop OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory/Azure AD.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical matters to non-technical individuals.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment while working independently or as part of a team.
- Eligibility to pass a background check.
- A valid U.S. driver’s license and a dependable personal vehicle for travel to client locations.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to take on the following key tasks:
- Travel to designated client locations to implement, maintain, and support network, server, and workstation infrastructures, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
- Provide comprehensive support for desktops and applications, which includes setting up new users, supporting line-of-business (LOB) applications, hosted environments, and general troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and services, including LAN/WAN, routers, firewalls, switches, and other security devices.
- Offer advanced support for Microsoft environments, including Windows Server & Desktop OS, Microsoft 365/Exchange Online, Active Directory/Azure AD, and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
- Manage and support virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V, including provisioning, maintenance, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with internal team members and client stakeholders to provide strategic IT advice, conduct system assessments, and suggest infrastructure enhancements.
- Work with third-party vendors for hardware/software support, upgrades, and escalated issues.
- Keep accurate and current technical documentation, including client-specific configurations, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Log all work performed, including time, notes, and expenses, in ConnectWise Manage or a similar PSA platform.
Description
I am offering a full-time position with a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year. Benefits include 401(k) with matching, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. The work schedule is an 8-hour shift. The preferred location for this role is Cromwell, CT 06416, and candidates should be willing to relocate there before starting work. The position requires in-person attendance.
